Compositing and post processing work is typically a contract position. Avid is the standard for feature films when there is a tight schedule.

Corel has many tools for post processing and editing. PaintShop competes with Adobe Photoshop effectively with a rich set of intrinsic features. PaintShop can restore old photographs that have been bent, folded, stapled and mutilated.
The flatbed scanner on the Canon MB2320 can handle 600 dpi scanning for the highest quality restorations. Higher resolution makes it easier to interpolate estimated colors when an image is seriously damaged.
The Canon ZR10 video camera uses miniDV tapes and I have an analog cable for it so I an digitize VHS or other formats directly to digital tape. MiniDV can hold 60 minutes of video which is about 13GB of data per tape. The ZR10 is available for video transfer services.
I have a lot of experience restoring old monochrome and sepia images. Some images needs several passes of cleanup and sharpening. The UHD LG 4K panel is very convenient with larger scans.
PhotoShop CS6 has many capabilities which are more advanced for graphics arts projects. With 64-bit Windows 10, Photoshop has the maximum memory available.
Avid is more sophisticated. Avid is widely used for post processing in addition to compositing. Avid can work with a wide range of video sources but ordinarily professional editing is done with uncompressed clips. 8K video clips need substantial SSD storage.
The GTX 690 image was processed with Corel PhotoPaint and I used the Wacom stylus and tablet to carefully edit the details. The result is a more modern image that more easily blends into a given web page.
